From top to bottom, the ROG Strix GeForce RTX™ 3070 has been radically improved to accommodate the impressive new Ampere chips from NVIDIA and to deliver the next wave of gaming performance innovation to the market. A fresh design and more metal surrounds a grouping of Axial-tech fans. Last gen’s uniform fan layout has been usurped by a new rotation scheme and specialized roles for central and auxiliary fans. Below the blades, a larger, more impressive heatsink is ready for the most demanding thermal loads. The PCB has some new tricks up its sleeves, and even the backplate has received some performance-boosting changes. You’ve been waiting for the latest and greatest in GPU design – and this is it.
AXIAL-TECH UPGRADES
Our Axial-tech fan design has been optimized for a new, larger heatsink that features more fins and surface area than last gen. The blade count has been increased on all three fans, with 13 on the center fan and 11 on the auxiliary fans. The barrier ring on the side fans has been slimmed down to allow for more lateral intake and to provide better airflow through the cooling array. The center fan’s extra blades and full-height ring provide boosted static pressure to blast air directly onto the GPU heat spreader.
MAXCONTACT
To get heat up off the die and into the heatsink array to benefit from the new fan design requires special attention. We use a manufacturing process that polishes the surface of the heat spreader to improve smoothness at the microscopic level. The extra flatness allows for better contact with the die for improved thermal transfer.
Fresh Shroud
In addition to under-the-hood design changes, the ROG Strix features a new face with metal accents that mirror the design aesthetic of ROG and ROG Strix motherboards. Mixing surface textures and materials make a statement when vertically mounted and lit by chassis LEDs. For those who prefer a sleeker, more subtle look, the greyscale colorway allows it to seamlessly blend into the build.

The ASUS GPU Tweak II utility takes graphics card tuning to the next level. It allows you to tweak critical parameters including GPU core clocks, memory frequency, and voltage settings, with the option to monitor everything in real-time through a customizable on-screen display. Advanced fan control is also included along with many more features to help you get the most out of your graphics card.

This product is superb and I went form 1070 to this and it is super fast and love the personalization of the lcd display to show temps and frames on the display.
All my VR games are running smoother and the resolution is higher so games look way better as well. The card does what it’s supposed to and that’s good.
Switched from an older ASUS GPU, so just had to plug it and the drivers installed themselves. It really is easy to setup if you do not plan on overclocking. Was delivred much faster than expected! Good performance, as anticipated.

Very fast and plays about anything I can throw at
Got delivered within 72 hours, I really was surprised!!!
I am really pleased with my purchase. It definitly is a major upgrade. I am able to game and stream my gameplay on the same PC while keeping good graphics quality and with no tear or lag in the stream. I can run most games on high/ultra settings when playing off stream and I get good FPS. Did not try RDR2 or something similar yet though. Note that I am playing in 1080P.
Amazing makes WOW and Starcraft blow my mind ever time I use it.
It’s ok, but size! Its much bigger than older generations, so make sure your case can take it.
All in all, I would buy this card again. I feel like a new man with it.

Asus rog strix 3070
Pros: Excellent card with enough omph to keep me going for at least five years depending on how games and the tech develop.
Cons: The price of course.
Overall Review: If you can get a 3080 for a little more get it, if you just want a 3070 with slightly faster clocks (the bottleneck on bus is what’s gonna be the biggest difference over time between 70 and 80 series imho) then this is the best of them I suppose.
Great so far, with conditions
Pros: -Super cool RGB(matches well with Trident z RGB ram out of the box.)
-Runs super cool.
-Coolest running 3070 on the market.
-The card you want since you can’t get a 3080 or while you wait to get one.
Cons: – PRICEY. might as well get a 3080 if you could
– Huge. This is a Big Boy/Girl card
